First off, we have The Breakfast Club. I know so many people love this movie, and its kinda predictable I have it in my favorites, but listen. The Breakfast Club is fucking awesome in every way, from the writing to the improvised dancing. It really shows some teenagers experiences in school, family life and social life. I literally cannot tell you how much I love this movie.-wow ok, as I'm writing this there are sirens every couple of minutes, I looked it up because I heard gunshots earlier and I guess there is a shooting range near here, because I saw nothing about a shooter. This is strange...ANYWAYS, The Breakfast club is one of my favorite movies and I really want more people to watch it and love it because its fucking awesome and if you try to change my mind someone will find a body.
Another favorite of mine is Napoleon Dynamite. Its a really pointless movie tbh, but its one of the best ones I have ever seen. I could watch it over and over and over again. one of the reasons I like it is kinda a trauma dump, so skip this part if you want.
When I was in 8th grade, one of my favorite teachers killed himself, and I wasn't told this by an adult, no. I had to find his fucking obituary just to find out if the rumors were true. I had him for two years, and he was a kind, sweet, understanding man. He went out of his way to help me while I was struggling with homework due to depression, he always had snacks, and he let us watch movies near the end of the school year. One of his favorites to show was Napoleon Dynamite. He actually introduced me to this movie, and I am so glad he did. I miss him so much, and I'm very regretful that I never got to say goodbye properly.
Anyways, another part of the movie I love is the one where he dances at the end. Me and my brother always get up and dance, and my mom cheers on our absolutly terrible dance moves. It's created some beautiful memories.
I watched this next one very recently, and it immediately became one of my favorites. It's just wonderful, and I regret not being able to put why I love it into words. I think its because I like a pretty good happy ending. It wasn't an ideal ending, for reasons I will not spoil(I cried) but I think its more realistic then the alternative. She wouldn't of wrote to him if something wasn't wrong. The script for the movie is beautiful, and the actors are amazing. A few of my favorite parts are when he's in the military and when he becomes a shrimper. This is a beautiful movie and it should be free on all platforms.
The unicorn store. This movie sounds really childish and boring, and though it is PG (I think) it is really deep. Its about a girl growing up, who always wanted a unicorn, and one day, she finds a store called "The unicorn store." She has to go through a lot of preparation to own the unicorn, and a guy who she hired to build a stable for it decided to help her with more things. Its very creative and the girl learns a lot about herself and the world.
more coming soon!!! Thanks for reading my little rants, and come back soon for more!-10/7/25
